Common Rail Injectors

Bosch Common Rail Injectors on test

With the recent release of the CRI Bosch Common Rail Injector tester injectors can now be tested and repaired. The initial repair concept allows the testing of the injector back-leakage and fuel flow through the nozzle. Nozzles can then be replaced as necessary and the injector re-tested. At this point in time only nozzle spare parts and fitting accessories are available; problems with bodies or the internal spill valves cannot yet be addressed.

High Pressure Common Rail

Stringent emission levels, improved engine performance, lower fuel consumption and the need for quiet running engines has led to the development of Common Rail fuel injection systems.

The Electronic Radial-Piston Rotary Pump

This style of fuel pump uses a solenoid valve to control injection quantity and duration, thus the fuel pump is classed as a time–controlled system. The fuel pump controls fuel supply, high-pressure generation, fuel distribution and injection timing.

Electronic Unit Injectors (EUIs)

Electronic Unit Injectors (EUIs)

Electronic Unit Injectors (EUIs) have been produced by both Bosch and Delphi for nearly 10 years. These electro-mechanical injectors first saw service in the Volvo FH series of trucks and have been a successful innovation, now being fitted to Iveco and Scania engines.

Pumpe Düse (PD)

The introduction of spare part programs and test concepts for Bosch and Delphi injectors fitted to PD engines, such as those in VW group engines and Land Rover TD5 style engines, has now taken place.
