POWER TESTING

MODERN DIESEL ENGINES HAVE TO MEET STRINGENT EMISSIONS REGULATIONS. THE FUEL PUMP AND INJECTORS THAT CONTROL THE TIMING AND FLOW OF DIESEL TO THE COMBUSTION CHAMBERS ARE CRITICAL TO THE PERFORMANCE, EMISSIONS AND FUEL CONSUMPTION OF A DIESEL POWERED VEHICLE.

Feather Diesel provide a very technical service that ensures the correct calibration settings of the fuel pump and injectors. Sophisticated test benches, with accurate hydraulic measurement systems are employed to verify, and reset if necessary, the fuel deliveries of fuel pumps.

VEHICLE DIAGNOSIS IS CRITICAL. FEATHER DIESEL HAVE THE LATEST VEHICLE SPECIFIC TEST EQUIPMENT TO ASCERTAIN IF ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEMS ARE FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY AND THE LATEST MECHANICAL TEST EQUIPMENT, USING OUR ROLLING ROAD CHASSIS DYNAMOMETER TO MAP ENGINE PERFORMANCE AT FULL POWER.


		ELECTRONIC DIAGNOSIS Stored faults can be used to identify areas within the control system that are faulty, such as fuel pump, timing faults etc. Feather Diesel have all the necessary diagnostic equipment relating to agencies held. Watch the video opposite.

		MECHANICAL DIAGNOSIS The sophisticated computer controlled chassis dynamometer accurately maps engine performance at full power conditions against published manufacturers specifications. Analysis of the results by Feather Diesel specialists indicates where any deficiency in performance lies and what rectification work needs to be carried out. Watch the video opposite.
